WATER EROSION
Have you heard of the Grand Canyon? It is so big and deep it can be seen from space! It took millions of years to form. But how did something so great happen? Erosion!
Materials:
rectangular aluminum roasting or cake pan
sand
water
six marbles or small rocks
plastic spoon
Steps:
Pour the sand into one end of the pan. The walls of your pan should be at least 3 inches (7.6 cm) high.
Slowly pour about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of water into the pan. Make sure to pour at the end opposite of the sand.
